I still remember the day I purchased my first closure and ended up ruining them in my first time wearing them because I simply did not know a thing about how to wear them. But with time I got the hang of how to install them and buy them better from Sana Hair Collection’s web domain. Therefore I came to the realization that, although these silk base closures are faultless for wigs and weaves that have been sewn, almost all the time they do need some alteration and customization before they can be installed. The following guidelines are my personal favorite since they really work for me each time:
- Firstly, you may adjust your silk based closure to the area along your natural hairline
- Part from where you desire
- While preferably using a small comb you can then blend in your natural hair fly-away and edges in with the hair closures.
- Lastly, using a brush just slightly apply a neutral shaded brown eyeshadow to the area where the lace of the silk base closure is in line with your natural hair meet. (This is optional and you may preferably use an angled brush)
- Pick a hair dye that best matches the color of your skin tone.
- Add many drops of the dye into a glass of hot water and stir well with a spoon.
- You can test the darkness of the color by inserting a paper-towel into the solution and can alter the intensity accordingly.
- Once you are satisfied with the color, you may now place the closure into the bowl in a face-down position.
- Let the closure sit in like that for about an hour.
- You can then check if the desired scalp color has been obtained or not.
- If the color is light, let it sit for another hour and it would darken.
- Take it out and dry
- It is now ready to wear!
